He is recognized as one of America’s most highly acclaimed winemakers. Tony works with many varietals, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese and Viognier, plus sparkling wines and aromatic white varieties. “In every wine I create, my goal is to express each vineyard's unique personality,” comments Tony.
Tony obtained a Master’s degree in Enology and Viticulture in 1992 from the University of California at Davis. He has worked harvests in Napa, northern Italy, Australia and Tuscany and held winemaking positions at several wineries; Tony was the head winemaker at Domaine Serene Winery/Rockblock Cellars for 10 years, during which he obtained more 90+ point scores from the Wine Spectator than any other winemaker during this period of time.

An avid home chef and wine aficionado, Christie attributes her appreciation for wine to her family. Her upbringing has led to a career dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences and sharing the wine, food and culture of Oregon with locals and tourists alike. She manages all aspects of Panther Creek, including the tasting room, wine clubs, events and all direct to consumer sales.

Dale West, Tasting Room Sales Associate
Dale West has been in the wine and hospitality industry since moving to Oregon in 1979. He has held various positions including Wine Steward, Assistant Maitre’d at the Sunriver Lodge and Manager of the Deschutes River Trouthouse, where he serendipitously met Ken Wright, founder of Panther Creek Cellars, and tasted his first Oregon Pinot in 1986. As they say, “the rest is history”. Dale started working for Ken selling wine full time in 1991 and learned a wealth of knowledge in regards to all aspects of wine, winemaking and harvest. Dale has also worked at Domaine Serene and Ken Wright Cellars.
"Most guests who chat with me in the tasting room refer to their time with me as more of an educational experience; I like to share my knowledge of Oregon history with an emphasis on the growth of our industry, the geology, physics, farming, meteorology, and of course the winemaking," states Dale. He and Christie have a successful history of collaborating in the tasting room. They became acquainted in the past at Alexana and later became known as the “Dynamic Duo” of Dundee, and still are today. Long time Panther fans and friends are happy to see them back together again, where Dale is currently in the tasting room at Panther Creek sharing his stories and real life wine knowledge with wine club members and visitors from near and far. Stop by and share a glass today!
