customers like to check the numbers and compare. On the other hand, every
person has a different palate. That's why some of us can't swallow lima
beans and others of us love them. In the final analysis, each person must
decide what qualities he or she enjoys in a glass of wine. Experience is

Pinot Noir Winemaker's Cuvée. Medium-bodied and silky textured, it has
excellent depth and coats the palate with loads of lush, sweet red fruits,
flowers, as well as spices. Drink it over the next five years."

2000 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir
"Panther Creek's most intense wine in 2000 is also their
finest. A large, muscular offering with outstanding depth of fruit, the
medium to dark ruby-colored 2000 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard has
perfumed aromas of red cherries, blackberries, and notes of tar. On the
palate, this dense, powerful wine is loaded with cassis liqueur, cherries
(both red and black), and blueberries. As seems to always be the case with
wines from Freedom Hill, its tannic backbone will require some patience.
Projected maturity: 2005 to 2012."

south of McMinnville, the 2000 Pinot Noir Youngberg Hill Vineyard exhibits
attractive rose and candied cherry aromas. This gorgeous wine is lush,
sultry, and intense. Its medium-bodied, feminine personality bursts with
sweet cherries, raspberries, violets, and currants. Projected maturity: now
through 2009."
